Our Purpose

The Board makes awards from the Fund for three purposes: It seeks to enhance school curriculum by giving grants to teachers for worthy innovative classroom projects. A second purpose is to encourage an appreciation of the arts by supporting activities here at the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center. The main purpose of the Fund is to help Norwalk graduates with their post-secondary education goals by granting scholarships to help offset their upcoming expenses. Contributions to the Endowment Fund will be professionally invested and remain untouched. A percentage of the income will be designated each year for educational programs, student scholarships, and the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center.

Fund Management

A Board of Trustees has been established to manage The Endowment Fund. The board includes alumni, community leaders, and representatives from the district. The Trustees work with the Superintendent and the Board of Education to fulfill the objectives of The Endowment Fund.
